  • Poor people have been living in some of the worst condition for centuries.

  • Major percentage of India population (about 75% of total population) lives in Village spread throughout the country. Some of the village are located in very remote and far-flung areas and are therefore in accessible.

  • Over 35% of people in rural areas are living below poverty line.
  • There is growing awareness of potential for cleaner and more renewable energy to provide an environmentally sustainable and relatively cheap means of supplying off-grid access to energy for the poor.
  • In the socio-technical approach, the local community/ people (the end users) are considered and recognized as the primary stake holder and are kept in the center in any development, promotional and implementation program. The RET (Renewable Energy Technology) is the only be a means to empower people. The NGOs company can only be means to implement RET Program in Rural Areas.
  • Samta Power undertake the project management/ project consultancy work of projects related to Renewable Energy Technology (RET) for sustainable Energy Solution in Rural Areas.

  • Samta Power has collaborated  Yash Raj Khaitan’s “Gram Power ‘ for REC Project implementation. Following activities fall under the scope of Samta Power.

  1. Village identification
    1. This involves household and community survey in the villages.
    2. Complete village mapping with distribution wire distances need to be done.
    3. People should be willing to give part connection charges advance and balance upon material arrival.

  2. Village Panchayat interaction and mobilization
    1. The Sarpanch of the Area should be taken on board.
    2. Shadow free land of 100 Sq Ft./ KWp to be arranged.
    3. The land should ideally be rent free, or with nominal rent for private land.

  3. Entrepreneur Identification

  4. Letter from Discom that they have no current plan to electrify the identified house hold.
