                  Project Experience
                  Managing Director of Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JVVNL) and has over 40 years of 
                  experience in the power sector distribution. I was responsible for a wide range of operations 
                  and services related to power supply distribution, including operation and maintenance, 
                  consumer services, material management, and vigilance department for preventing 
                  electricity thefts and unauthorized uses. Also been instrumental in implementing various 
                  centrally sponsored schemes such as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, 
                  Saubhagya Yojana, and Integrated Power Development Scheme, PMKUSUM, and recently 
                  launched RDSS. 
                  Experience in renewable energy projects, policy research, tariff regulation, and 
                  collaboration with central and state government schemes
                  Experience in the implementation of the PM-KUSUM scheme, which aims to provide farmers
                  with a reliable source of power for irrigation and other agricultural activities. I also been 
                  involved in rural electrification and well electrification projects, which have helped to bring 
                  electricity to remote areas of the state of Rajasthan. 
                  Also involved in IT interventions such as the centralised Consumer Call Centre, Mobile Fault 
                  Rectification Team, Smart Metering Project, Billing, Collection, and more. He has also been 
                  responsible for commercial and regulatory affairs, agriculture policy, retail tariff, and other 
                  corporate governance matters. 
                  Represented DISCOM at various state government and central government-level forums, to 
                   share experience and insights into the power sector.

                  Professional Education: M Com, Indore University, 1968. Experience: 55 Years service as Account Officer. Presently working as a consultant in electricity matters in Udaipur Zone retired from Ajmer Vidhyut Vitaran Nigam Limited as Accounts Officer.


                  GOPAL LAL SOMANI

                  Professional Education:

                  Passed BE (Electrical Engineering) from MNIT, Jaipur in 1968, joined Rajasthan State

                  Electricity Board as Assistant Engineer. Worked entire period of 34 years in different

                  disciplines and gained life time experience covering all fields in energy sector i.e.

                  Generation (Coal, Gas, Hydro, Wind, Solar and Biomass), Transmission, Distribution and

                  Management. Widely travelled and extensive work done in Renewable Energy portfolio

                  since 1999 and secured authority insight into India's solar energy development and its

                  cost effective market potential.


                  Award

                  SOLAR CHAMPION award given by European Solar Thermal Power Generation Industry 

                  Association and Solar energy International Association of America on 23rd October 2003 

                  at Palms Springs in California for enthusiastic efforts in developing Mathania Solar 

                  Thermal Power Plant with international exposure to CSP Solar Thermal Technology 

                  bringing huge economic benefits to India’s energy supply, the global environment, and 

                  future generations.


                  Experience:

                    Regular invitee participant as speaker / panelist/ solar energy expert at international 

                    solar energy conferences organized by SolarPaces, Solar energy International, CSP 

                    Today, CSP Focus and Renewable Energy World. An outspoken personality and

                    professional authority on CSP / PV Technology known world over by solar communities 

                    This apart experience , credentials on Policy and Regulatory matters has allowed me to

                    represents at various industry platforms i.e. CII, FICCI and international Solar Energy 

                    Forums. Having travelled extensively across all part of World visiting most modern Power 

                    Plants in conventional and renewable Mr. Somani shared experience in bringing 

                    innovation in the energy sector development which resulted into most efficient power 

                    plants in the country.
