Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is one of the three flexible mechanisms following the “Kyoto Protocol”. The CDM allows a country with an emission – reduction obligation or committeement under Kyoto protocol to implement an emission – reduction in the developing countries. These CDM Project go a long way in reducing emission of Green House Gases (GHG) which the developed countries can claim as CER (Certified Emission Reduction) credit.
